Agile Steel Detailing provides structural and miscellaneous steel detailing services for steel fabricators throughout the Pacific Northwest, West Coast, and across the United States. From our office in Medford, Oregon, we support projects ranging from small miscellaneous and residential packages to large commercial, institutional, and industrial projects.
Using Tekla Structures, we develop coordinated 3D models, shop and erection drawings, fabrication data, and supporting reports with the practical needs of the shop and field in mind. Our goal is straightforward: provide an accurate, buildable package that helps our clients move steel through fabrication and erection efficiently.

We provide complete structural steel detailing packages from contract documents through approval and fabrication release.
Our experience includes structural framing for commercial buildings, multifamily projects, healthcare facilities, retail developments, industrial facilities, custom residences, and other steel-framed construction. Projects can include beams, columns, bracing, trusses, equipment support steel, canopies, screen walls, and other structural assemblies.
Throughout the project, we coordinate drawing revisions, RFIs, design changes, and phased releases as required by the fabricator and project schedule.
Miscellaneous Steel Detailing
Agile also details miscellaneous steel as either part of a larger structural package or as a standalone scope.
Our miscellaneous experience includes stairs, handrails and guardrails, ladders, platforms, equipment access steel, miscellaneous framing, embeds, anchor-bolt layouts, and other fabricated assemblies.
Because miscellaneous work frequently interfaces with architectural, structural, and field conditions, we place particular emphasis on coordination and constructability rather than treating it as an afterthought to the structural package.

Our detailing packages are developed around the information the fabricator, erector, and project team actually need.

Drawing packages are carried through approval comments and revisions into fabrication and erection releases, with changes incorporated into the model and affected deliverables.
Tekla 3D Modeling & BIM Coordination
Our projects are modeled in Tekla Structures, allowing the drawings, material information, fabrication data, and 3D model to remain coordinated throughout the detailing process.
Where projects require BIM or model coordination, we can work with architectural and structural models and other project information supplied in common CAD/BIM formats. This allows potential conflicts and incomplete conditions to be identified during detailing rather than discovered later in fabrication or erection.
Our modeling is performed as part of the steel-detailing process rather than offered as a standalone modeling service.
Fabrication Data
In addition to drawings, Agile can provide the electronic information needed to support modern fabrication workflows.
Depending on the project and the fabricator's requirements, this can include NC/DSTV files, DXFs, material reports, assembly and part information, and other Tekla-generated fabrication data.
Because our work is prepared specifically for steel fabricators, we approach these deliverables as part of the fabrication package—not simply as exports from the model.
Coordination, RFIs & Revisions
Steel detailing rarely consists of simply reproducing the contract drawings. Missing dimensions, conflicting information, connection conditions, architectural interfaces, field changes, and design revisions all have to be resolved as a project progresses.
Agile works directly with our fabricator clients to identify these conditions, prepare RFIs where necessary, incorporate responses, and keep affected drawings and fabrication information coordinated.
When delegated design or engineering coordination is required, we can also work with the fabricator and appropriately licensed third-party engineers to develop practical detailing solutions. Engineering services are not performed in-house by Agile.
Experience That Extends Beyond the Model
Agile's detailing experience is backed by practical familiarity with how steel is fabricated and erected.
That perspective influences decisions throughout a project—from connection geometry and material availability to weld access, piece configuration, shipping, erection sequence, and the information presented on shop drawings.
With approximately four decades of combined steel-detailing experience, our focus is not simply producing drawings that are technically complete. We want the finished package to make sense to the people who have to fabricate and erect it.
